Welcome to the Senior Gay Support Group of Sacramento, CA

What is SeniorGays.org?

SeniorGays.org is a new entity that is being developed as a resource for the senior gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) community.  We also welcome gay-friendly members of the community.  It is based in Sacramento, California and meetings will be held at the local Sacramento Gay & Lesbian Center (formerly the Lambda Community Center).

Our trip to the State Capitol in January was a success!  We had fun on the tour and went to a local bistro for lunch together.  There may have been some missed connections that day due to the tour office being closed, but we hope to have better luck with the next gathering.  Check the schedule for details.

What is our purpose?

The purpose of the group is to exchange ideas, opinions, and offer mutual support in all areas of interest to the members.  The group may also plan social events and outings which will be posted on the schedule

What types activities will be available?

Specific activities will be defined by the group itself, but the following is a list of possibilities:
  • Forum for discussion - group setting
    Sample topics may include:
    • Health Issues
    • Social Issues (Senior, Gay, etc.)
    • Books
    • Music
    • Films
    • Theater
    • Politics
  • Social Outings
  • Volunteer Work (e.g., visiting house-bound seniors)
